The Campbell County Senior Center's mission is to provide a broad range of services which support an individual's ability to live independently, to participate in his or her community, and to lead a dignified, meaningful life as a senior citizen.
Transportation Overview
The Senior Center provides door-to-door transit service for senior citizens, disabled individuals and the transportation disadvantaged. Our buses are wheelchair accessible and each of our drivers are certified in CPR, Defensive Driving, First Aid, and Passenger Service and Safety.
Cost for rides within the city limits of Gillette are as follows:
- Seniors, age 60 or older: (a suggested donation of) $2.00 per stop
- Disabled individuals: (a suggested donation of) $2.00 per stop
- General Public: $4.00 per stop
The cost for rides outside of the city limits but within Campbell County are $4.00 for seniors and disabled persons or $7.00 for the general public.
First time riders should contact the center @ 307-682-8279, during normal business hours; 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday, to sign up for services.
As rides are scheduled on a first come first served basis, it is requested that you call a minimum of 24 hrs in advance to request transportation.
Punch cards, good for 22 rides, are available at a cost $40.00 for senior and disabled riders and $80.00 for the general public. Utilizing these punch cards not only makes it easier but entitles the user to 2 free rides.
